Welcome to the Canton Class of 1976 website!

Dedicated to our fellow graduates, we hope this site will become a popular meeting spot for those of you looking for information related to reunions, classmate gatherings and the status of our fundraising initiatives related to the Spirit of '76 Scholarship Fund.

Our Mission

The Canton Class of 1976 was established in 2011 as an unincorporated nonprofit association created under the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization by the Internal Revenue Service.

To commemorate our 35th Reunion, the Canton Class of 1976 created the "Spirit of '76" Scholarship Fund to provide scholarships to the male and female graduating senior students who most embody the spirit of Canton High School and their graduating class. The recipients are chosen by their peers to the Most School Spirit superlative.

Bulldog Madness Golf Classic

The Bulldog Madness Golf Classic is an annual golf tournament hosted by the Canton Class of 1976 as a fundraiser for the “Spirit of ‘76” Scholarship Fund.

The 2024 tournament will be held on Monday, September 9th at Wampatuck Country Club in Canton, MA. This fun "scramble-style" tournament is open to players of all skill levels, regardless of whether or not they graduated with the Canton High School Class of 1976.

SPIRIT OF ’76

SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The year 1976 was highlighted by America's celebration of our country's Bicentennial. One of the more popular slogans that year was "spirit of '76", which was used to promote everything from KISS' US concert tour to a cheesy B-movie. It showed up on coins, stamps, belt buckles, commemorative plates, model railroad trains ... you name it.

So, to acknowledge our own Class' history and continue the tradition we have named our Class Scholarship the "Spirit of '76" Scholarship Fund.
